Is God Eternal?
QUESTION: Is God Eternal and how does that impact us?ANSWER:
How reassuring to know that the God Eternal holds us in high regard. “[God] rides on the heavens to help you and on the clouds in his majesty. The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms” (Deuteronomy 33:26-27). If this wasn’t enough, He promised us eternal life through Jesus Christ (John 3:36; Jude 21). God will not remove His hand from us until He has finished His grand design concerning us...to reconcile us to Himself for eternity.
God Eternal, the Everlasting God, has been “our dwelling place in all generations” (Psalm 90:1). So intense is His longing to share eternity with Him, God has prepared an eternal dwelling place for us (John 14:2-3). Imagine what it would feel like to inhabit eternity. Time would never end, nor change. The great concerns that engage our thoughts here on earth would seem insignificant—growing old, finances, disease, injustice, even death. “He [God] has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end” (Ecclesiastes 3:11).
Is God Eternal? His Eternal Purpose!
While we cannot yet see the full beauty God Eternal and His providence, those that choose Jesus Christ will behold a glorious sight. For now we must wait patiently for the full revelation and fulfillment of God’s eternal purpose.
“The relation of all events to God’s grand design is by most historians quite overlooked. All past history is but the unraveling of God’s eternal plan. The whole course of human events is made finally to serve this one great purpose. The philosophy of history can be learned only in the laboratory of heaven—with the eye fixed on the Hand that moves the world, and the spirit in harmony with the great Spirit that animates the universe.”1

Eternal God - Learn More!
WHAT DO YOU THINK? - We have all sinned and deserve God's judgment. God, the Father, sent His only Son to satisfy that judgment for those who believe in Him. Jesus, the creator and eternal Son of God, who lived a sinless life, loves us so much that He died for our sins, taking the punishment that we deserve, was buried, and rose from the dead according to the Bible. If you truly believe and trust this in your heart, receiving Jesus alone as your Savior, declaring, "Jesus is Lord," you will be saved from judgment and spend eternity with God in heaven.
